STANDING STRONG® TERM PROGRAMS

Helping children build the mental, emotional, and social skills they'll carry for life.

Some children find it easy to make friends. Others worry about fitting in.

Some hold everything inside until they get home and the big emotions come pouring out.

Others are kind, caring and capable... but simply don't see those wonderful qualities in themselves.

If you've found yourself wondering how to help your child navigate these challenges, you're not alone.

At Lemonade Kids, we've supported more than 10,000 children through fun, evidence-informed wellbeing programs that help them build confidence, emotional awareness and healthy friendships - in a safe, encouraging environment where they feel seen, supported and understood.

Does this sound like your child?

Perhaps your child...

  • Finds it difficult to make or keep friendships.

  • Comes home upset because they've been left out, excluded or treated unkindly.

  • Worries about what other people think of them.

  • Gets overwhelmed by big emotions and doesn't know how to calm down.

  • Finds it hard to speak up, ask for help or say "no".

  • Gives up easily because they're afraid of making mistakes.

  • Struggles with negative self-talk or believing in themselves.

  • Is anxious about trying new things or joining new groups.

  • Is wonderfully kind but keeps choosing friendships that don't treat them with the same kindness.

  • Simply needs a place where they can feel accepted, understood and themselves.

If you're nodding along... please know these challenges are more common than you might think.

The good news?

These are skills that can be taught, practised and strengthened.

Imagine if...

Imagine your child...

✔ Walking into school feeling excited instead of worried.
✔ Having the confidence to introduce themselves to someone new.
✔ Understanding their emotions instead of being overwhelmed by them.
✔ Knowing how to calm their busy mind and body.
✔ Believing in themselves - even when things don't go perfectly.
✔ Choosing kind, healthy friendships and feeling confident to walk away from unhealthy ones.
✔ Coming home proudly telling you about something brave they tried.

This is exactly what our Standing Strong® Program was created to support.

A whole-child approach to wellbeing

Unlike programs that focus on just one aspect of wellbeing, Standing Strong® strengthens the mind, body and heart - because children thrive when they have practical tools to support all three.

STRONG Mind (Mindset)
Children learn to understand their thoughts, build confidence and self-belief, develop a healthy growth mindset and strengthen their resilience when life doesn't go to plan.

Why it matters: Children who develop a strong mindset are more likely to back themselves, embrace challenges, learn from mistakes and believe they can overcome obstacles.

STRONG Body (Movement)
Through movement-based activities, children learn how their body and nervous system are connected, helping them release energy, improve focus and feel more calm and regulated.

Why it matters: When children learn to regulate their bodies, they're better able to manage big emotions, concentrate, participate and respond thoughtfully instead of reacting impulsively.

STRONG Heart (Mindfulness)
Children practise breathing, mindfulness and relaxation strategies while learning to recognise and understand their emotions with kindness and self-awareness.

Why it matters: These practical tools help children feel calmer during challenging moments, work through worries and develop lifelong habits that support emotional wellbeing.

What children learn

Across the term, children explore practical wellbeing topics including:

  • Making and maintaining healthy friendships

  • Understanding emotions and managing big feelings

  • Building confidence and positive self-esteem

  • Working through worry and anxiety

  • Speaking up, setting boundaries and finding their voice

  • Resilience when things don't go to plan

  • Growth mindset and embracing mistakes

  • Gratitude and positive thinking

  • Kindness, empathy and emotional intelligence

  • Mindfulness and calming strategies they can use every day

Every topic is explored through supportive peer to peer discussions, engaging activities, games and social and emotional worksheets based on positive psychology that children genuinely enjoy.

More than 60 five-star reviews from families who have seen their children grow in confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.

Is Standing Strong® right for my child?

Standing Strong® is designed for girls and gender-diverse children aged 5–16 years, with children grouped alongside others of a similar age and stage - Strong Little Ones 5-7 years, Strong Juniors 8-10 years and Strong Tweens & Teens 11-16 years.

Our small groups provide a supportive environment where children can learn, connect and grow together.

The program is suitable for neurotypical and neurodivergent children, including many children with ADHD and Autism Levels 1 and 2 who are able to participate independently within a small group setting.

If you're unsure whether the program is the right fit, we'd love to chat.

NB. Lemonade Kids is not a registered NDIS provider. However, our programs may support some children's wellbeing goals relating to social and community participation, confidence and capacity building.

We recommend speaking with your Plan Manager to determine whether our programs align with your child's individual goals and funding category and contact bec@lemonadekids.com.au to discuss further.

Give your child skills they'll carry for life

One day your child won't remember every worksheet they completed.

But they'll remember how to:

  • make a new friend

  • work through disappointment

  • calm themselves when emotions feel overwhelming

  • believe in themselves

  • stand up for what's right

  • ask for help when they need it

These are the skills that support children not just through primary school, but into high school, adulthood and beyond.

We'd love to welcome your family to Lemonade Kids and help your child discover just how capable they really are.
